About Massoud Katebeh, PE

Massoud Katebeh is the founder and principal engineer at MGK Engineering. He has over 20 years of experience in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire alarm engineering, and holds a Professional Engineer license in Arizona, California, Delaware, Florida, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and the European Union. He has held the LEED AP certification since 2008.

Massoud earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florence in Italy, where he also completed doctoral coursework. He has worked in Italy, Abu Dhabi, and across the United States. His work stands out for its extensive design and construction experience.​ Project credits include work for Arizona State University, David Geffen Hall at Lincoln Center, Regeneron Laboratory, JFK Airport, and multiple high-rise residential buildings in Manhattan. He was the engineer of record for the American Museum of Natural History's Gilder Center, which has LEED Gold certification. 

Massoud founded MGK to provide experienced MEP engineering for residential and small commercial projects, delivering accurate, permit-ready packages with efficient turnaround for contractors, architects, and property owners. With extensive experience in both design and construction, he also brings a practical, customized approach to complex home projects, helping clients turn their vision into reality.
